The Ordinary Peace sees Seireitei in ruins, with casualties among the Soul Reapers and extreme uncertainty about the future. With the death of Reio at the hands of the Quincy King Yhwach, the world starts to crumble. Hope seems lost until Ukitake performs a mysterious ceremony to save the Soul Society. Meanwhile, Soul Reaper Captain General Kyoraku has his own plan. Meanwhile, in the Soul King Palace, Yhwach tells Ichigo and his friends that he already foresaw their arrival, as well as what will happen to them in the future, before moving aside to show them the impaled Soul King.
