One among the competitors is a prominent character in the overarching saga of Dragon Ball is Master Roshi, who fights under the alias of Jackie Chun. He fights Goku in the tournament and poses as a formidable opponent. Eventually, Master Roshi also becomes an ally and teacher to Goku.As the characters develop, Volume 2 also highlights the comedic elements of the series, balancing intense battles with lighthearted moments.
