Shoya Ishida's journey takes a new turn in A Silent Voice Volume 4. Once the instigator of cruelty towards Shoko Nishimiya during their elementary school days, Shoya is now on a quest to make amends for his past transgressions. Fueled by a desire to repay the debt of happiness he owes Shoko, Shoya becomes a beacon of support when she faces a romantic setback.

In an effort to lift Shoko's spirits and perhaps find some solace for himself, Shoya decides to organize a trip to the amusement park. This excursion serves as a poignant reunion, bringing together familiar faces from their shared past.
